ABOUT US
Kevin Hicks - Writer/Director/Producer Kevin started his career as a composer, writing everything from commercial jingles to full-length contemporary operas. His love for writing soon found him as a novelist in the mid-90s. In the late-90s, Kevin took his music and writing background and formed Hark Productions - an audio and video production company.
After taking on various roles of writer, director, editor & producer of numerous commercial, industrial and academia projects, Kevin came on as director of “Cayuga Lake Wine Country” a program-length DVD for ELK Productions. A year and a half later, with more productions under his belt, he directed his first feature film, “Waiting On Alphie,” which he also wrote, for Diesel Movie Werks.
“Waiting On Alphie” combined all of Kevin’s past experience as a composer, writer, actor, editor, camera operator and visual artist. It was the quality of “Waiting On Alphie” - as well as a well-crafted script by his wife, Vickie - that sparked the interest of the initial development financiers for “Among The Shadows" and eventually lead to the formation of Chinimble Lore.
Vickie Hicks (WGA) - Writer/Associate Producer
Vickie Hicks grew up in Dallas, Texas. At eighteen, she moved to New York City in order to pursue a career in acting. After six years of taking acting classes and appearing in several plays that were so off Broadway she wasn't sure she was in the state anymore, she decided to travel west.
She moved to Los Angeles, where she turned her attention to writing. After several attempts at getting her foot in the door, she landed a job with Chuck Barris Productions, writing for "The All New Dating Game" and "The New Newlywed Game."
Over the years, she dabbled in both novels and screenplays. In 2005, her screenplay "Among The Shadows" attracted the attention of some financiers, who put up development funds and made Among The Shadows a reality as a company and an upcoming movie. She has other properties that are part of Chinimble Lore's development slate with even more scripts on the way.
